Cohn Slater handles administrative appeals of final orders from all state agencies and the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH).
The firm’s administrative appeals are handled by Dwight Slater, a Board-Certified Appellate Specialist who has practiced in all five of Florida’s district courts of appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Attorney Slater handled administrative appeals while at the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, the Florida Department of Financial Services, and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
While serving as Chief Appellate Counsel at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Dwight Slater oversaw many complex administrative law appeals, including real estate and accountant licensure sanctions and rule challenges.
Additionally, Slater has served on the Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee’s Administrative Practice Subcommittee.
